The following questions and answers are designed to provide an understanding of Hidden Creek Country Club and the membership opportunity available at the Club. As these questions and answers are only a summary in nature, you should read the Amended and Restated Membership Plan and Rules and Regulations prior to purchasing a membership.

Q:  What is Hidden Creek Country Club?
A:  Hidden Creek Country Club is located in Reston, Virginia and features superlative golf, tennis, swimming, fitness, dining and other social facilities. The Club offers memberships in the following categories: Full Golf, Corporate Golf, Intermediate, Young Professional, Legacy, National, Tennis, Swim & Tennis, Swim & Social and Clubhouse.

Q:  Who owns the Club facilities?
A:  Fore Golf Services, L.P. owns and operates the Club Facilities.

Q:  What facilities will the Club offer?
A:  Members, their families and guests will enjoy the following exceptional Club Facilities:

Q:  How many memberships will be offered in the Club?
A:  The maximum number of Full Golf Memberships which can be issued in the Club is 480. There is no limit on the number of memberships which can be issued in any other category. Upon the issuance of 480 Full Golf Memberships, the Club will establish a waiting list of persons desiring to acquire a Full Golf Membership in the Club. The persons on the waiting list may be granted limited use of golf facilities at the sole discretion of the Club and on terms and conditions established by the Club from time to time. Use of the golf facilities by these members in waiting will not be permitted to unreasonably interfere with the use of the golf course by Full Golf Members. The Club, in its discretion, may at any time, add additional membership categories or limit or expand the number of memberships issued in any or all membership categories, including Full Golf.

Q:  Who will be eligible for a membership in the Club?
A:  Memberships are being offered to persons who are approved for membership by the Club. Corporate Golf Memberships are being offered to actual active corporations, partnerships or other forms of multiple ownership. In order to be eligible for a Young Professional Membership, the applicant and his or her spouse must be age 34 or younger. To be eligible for an intermediate or legacy membership, the applicant and his or her spouse must be age 39 or younger. Intermediate Membership or a Legacy Membership, the applicant and his or her spouse, if married, must be under 38 years of age. Non-Resident and National Memberships are available to persons whose principal place of residence and place of work is more than 75 miles from the Club facilities.

Q:  What are the privileges of a Full Golf Membership?        
A:  Full Golf Members are entitled to use all of the golf, tennis, swimming, dining and other social facilities of the Club.  Full Golf Members are not required to pay greens fees or outdoor court fees (except for their guests), but shall be required to pay cart fees, indoor court fees, dues, merchandise plan fees and dining room minimums.

Q:  What are the privileges of a Corporate Golf Membership?        
A:  Corporate Golf Members are entitled to use all of the golf, tennis, swimming, dining and other social facilities of the Club. Corporate Golf Members are not required to pay green fees or outdoor court fees (except for their guests), but shall be required to pay cart fees, indoor court fees, dues, merchandise plan fees, and dining room minimums. Corporate Golf Memberships are transferable within the entity, subject to such restrictions as the Club may impose from time to time and payment of a re­designation fee as determined by the Club. The membership deposit for a Corporate Golf Membership is based on the number of designees.   

Q:  What are the privileges of an Intermediate Membership?  
A:  Intermediate Golf Members are entitled to use all of the golf, tennis, swimming, dining and other social facilities of the Club. Intermediate Golf Members are not required to pay greens fees or outdoor court fees (except for their guests) but shall be required to pay cart fees, indoor court fees, dues, merchandise plan fees and dining room minimums. Upon the Intermediate Golf Member’s 40th birthday, or his or her spouse’s if married, based on the elder spouse, the Intermediate Golf Member shall have the option to choose the Full Golf Non­-Refundable membership for no additional initiation fee or choose the Full Golf Refundable membership by paying the difference between the initiation fees paid for the Intermediate membership and the current Full Golf Refundable initiation fee. The Intermediate Golf Member will also begin to pay the current monthly dues for a Full Golf membership. Existing Junior Golf Members shall continue with their existing rights and may upgrade to refundable Full Golf Memberships in accordance with the preceding terms.

Q:  What are the privileges of a Young Professional Membership?        
A:  Young Professional Golf Members are entitled to use all of the golf, tennis, swimming, dining and other social facilities of the Club. Young Professional Golf Members are not required to pay greens fees or outdoor court fees (except for their guests) but shall be required to pay cart fees, indoor court fees, dues, merchandise plan fees and dining room minimums. Upon the Young Professional Golf Member’s 35th birthday, or his or her spouse’s if married, based on the elder spouse, the Young Professional Golf Member shall have the option to choose the Intermediate Golf Non­Refundable membership for no additional initiation fee or choose the Intermediate Golf Refundable membership by paying the difference between the initiation fees paid for the Young Professional membership and the current Intermediate Golf Refundable initiation fee. The Young Professional member will also begin to pay the current monthly dues for an Intermediate Golf membership.

Q:  What are the privileges of a Legacy Membership?       
A:  Legacy Members are entitled to use all of the golf, tennis, swimming, dining and other social facilities of the Club. Legacy Members are not required to pay greens fees or outdoor court fees (except for their guests), but shall be required to pay cart fees, indoor court fees, dues, merchandise plan fees and dining room minimums. Upon the Legacy Member’s 40th birthday or his or her spouse’s 40th birthday, if married, the Legacy Member may elect to become any other category of member which the Club offers. If the Legacy Member elects to become any category of non-refundable membership at the Club, the Legacy Member shall not be required to pay any further initiation fee or deposit but shall be required to pay any increased dues that accompany the new category of membership. If the Legacy Member elects to become any category of refundable membership at the Club, the Legacy Member shall be required to pay the difference between the down payments made by them towards their initiation fee and the going membership rate for the elected category of membership at the time.  

Q:  What are the privileges of a National Membership?
A:  National Members are entitled to 24 rounds of golf per membership, per 12 calendar months. National Members are not required to pay greens fees, but shall be required to pay cart fees for these 24 rounds of golf. National Members are also entitled to use all of the golf practice, tennis, swimming, dining and other social facilities of the Club, however, National Members shall not be permitted to use said Club Facilities more than 24 days in any 12 calendar months. National Members are not required to pay outdoor court fees (except for their guests), but shall be required to pay indoor court fees, merchandise plan fees and dues. National Members will not be required to pay dining room minimums. National Memberships will not count in determining the maximum number of Full Golf Memberships which can be issued in the Club. National Members are required to maintain their National Memberships for a period of at least 12 calendar months after being approved for membership by the Club.

Q:  What are the privileges of a Non-Resident Membership?
A:  Non-Resident Members are entitled to 12 rounds of golf per membership, per 12 calendar months. Non-Resident Members are not required to pay greens fees, but shall be required to pay cart fees for these 12 rounds of golf. Non-Resident Members are also entitled to use all of the golf practice, tennis, swimming, dining and other social facilities of the Club, however, Non-Resident Members shall not be permitted to use said Club Facilities more than 12 days in any 12 calendar months. Non-Resident Members are not required to pay outdoor court fees (except for their guests), but shall be required to pay indoor court fees, merchandise plan fees and dues. Non-Resident Members will not be required to pay dining room minimums. Non-Resident Memberships will not count in determining the maximum number of Full Golf Memberships which can be issued in the Club. Non-Resident Members are required to maintain their Non-Resident Memberships for a period of at least 12 calendar months after being approved for membership by the Club.

Q:  What are the privileges of a Swim & Tennis Membership?        
A:  Swim & Tennis Members are entitled to use all of the indoor and outdoor tennis, swimming, dining and other social facilities of the Club, but are not permitted to use golf facilities, except as a guest of a member with golf privileges and then subject to all guest limitations and restrictions in effect from time to time. Swim & Tennis Members are required to pay indoor court fees and dues and dining room minimums.

Q:  What are the privileges of a Swim/Social Membership?
A:  Swim Members are entitled to use all swimming, dining and other social facilities of the Club, but are not permitted to use the golf facilities or the indoor or the outdoor tennis courts except as a guest of a member, with privileges to use those facilities subject to all guest limitations and restrictions in effect from time to time. Swim Members shall be required to pay dues and dining room minimums.

Q:  What are the privileges of a Clubhouse Membership?
A:  Clubhouse Members are entitled to use all of the dining and other social facilities of the Club, but will not be permitted to use the golf, tennis and swimming facilities except as a guest of a member, with privileges to use those facilities subject to all guest limitations and restrictions in effect from time to time. Clubhouse Members shall be required to pay dues and dining room minimums.

Q:  What are the special features of membership in the Club?
A:  In addition to outstanding facilities and an extensive array of programs and activities for members and their families, membership in the Club currently offers a number of attractive benefits, including:

  • Refundable Membership Deposit. For certain categories of membership, the membership deposit paid is refundable upon resignation of a member and reissuance of the membership, as provided for in the Amended and Restated Membership Plan.
     
  • No Assessments. Members are not subject to either operating or capital expense assessments.
     
  • Family Privileges. Except as otherwise provided in the Amended and Restated Membership Plan, the member's spouse and unmarried children under the age of 23 who are living at home or attending school on a full­time basis can enjoy the same membership privileges as the member.
     
  • Extended Family Privileges. A member's extended family, including adult children, parents, grandparents and grandchildren, and their respective spouses, can enjoy the Club's facilities by paying reduced fees as provided for in the Amended and Restated Membership Plan.
     
  • Club Newsletter. Members will receive a newsletter containing information about events and activities at the Club and other items of interest to members.
     
  • Website. The Club website located at HiddenCreekCC.com provides members with exclusive access to important up-to-date Club information.

Q:  Will my family members be welcome at the Club?
A:  Yes. The ability to spend quality time with members of the family is of paramount importance these days. The Club is committed to providing a pleasant environment where this can be accomplished. Each membership in the Club, except the National Membership, is a family membership, which includes full privileges for spouses and unmarried children under the age of 23 who either live at home or attend school on a full­time basis. The Club provides programs and activities that are appealing to family members of all ages.

The extended family of a member will be permitted to use the Club Facilities in the company of the member in accordance with the member's category of membership upon payment of reduced fees. The extended family shall include the parents, adult children who do not fall within the definition of immediate family, grandparents and grandchildren of the member and spouse and their respective spouses.

Q:  May I invite guests to the Club?
A:  Yes. Having your friends enjoy the Club's outstanding facilities with you is a wonderful attribute of membership in the Club. Therefore, members are entitled to have guests use the Club Facilities in accordance with the member's category of membership and the rules and regulations adopted by the Club to preserve the exclusivity of its facilities.

Q:  Will there be any other types of membership available in the Club?
A:  Yes. Members may elect to downgrade their membership to a Non­-Resident Membership in the same category if the member has moved and now resides and works more than 75 miles from the Club Facilities. Once a member has downgraded his or her membership to a Non­-Resident Membership, the member will not be allowed to re­instate his or her regular membership or resign from the Club for at least 12 calendar months thereafter. Re­instatement to a regular member status shall be subject to availability of a regular membership. Non­-Resident Members desiring to upgrade to a regular membership will be placed at the top of the waiting list for memberships.

Q:  When will the membership deposit be repaid to the member?
A:  If eligible and subject to the limitations as set forth in the Amended and Restated Membership Plan and each member’s Membership Agreement and Application, each person who paid a refundable membership deposit upon acquiring a membership will be entitled to receive a refund of his of her membership deposit, without interest, 30 years from the date of the member's admission to the Club. In the event that the member resigns from the Club before the end of the 30­year period, the member will be entitled to receive the membership deposit paid or the amount of the membership deposit then charged for the category in question, whichever is lesser and without interest, within 30 days after the reissuance of the member's membership by the Club to a new member. The Club will deduct from the amount to be refunded a transfer fee equal to 10 percent of the membership deposit required to be paid by the resigned member. In the event that the amount of the membership deposit at the time of reissuance of the membership is less than the amount of the membership deposit paid by the resigned member, the difference shall be paid, without interest, to the resigned member 30 years from the date of the member's admission to the Club.

Q:  Can members be assessed to cover any operating deficits or capital improvements?
A:  No. Members will not be subject to any liability for capital or operating assessments for the costs and expenses of ownership or operation of the Club or the Club Facilities. The Company will pay all operating deficits incurred in the operation of the Club Facilities and will retain all operating revenues resulting from operation of the Club Facilities.

Q:  Will I be able to finance my membership?
A:  Yes. Please inquire about the attractive financing options that are available with the Membership Director.

Q:  How do I become a member?
A:  To become a member of the Club, you must submit to the Club a fully completed and signed Membership Agreement and Application and if applicable, payment in the amount of the required membership deposit. In the event your application is not acted upon favorably, the membership deposit will be fully refunded, without interest.
